Cross Country

Cross Country

Yesterday it was cross country for Makaraka school. It was at the Matthews farm. We went by bus. First we walked the track with Mrs Hannah and Mr Milne.

I was nervous but I knew I could do it. Then we were called up to the start line. We were off! We jumped over two hay bales and went up two hills and then went down a long hill. Then I boosted to the finish line. In the end I came second. It was hard to run up the hills but I enjoyed it.

My legs felt like jelly after the race. When it was finish my Mum, Me ,Rose and  Iyve and I went into town.

I really like how you have explained your cross-country to me. Your cross-country sounded so fun because you guys got to jump over hay bales. How did you feel when you came second? Did you like cross-country.

  7. Hi Molly my name is Eruera from Mangapapa School. I really like the detail you've put into your post it is really really cool. Wow it's really cool that you came in second place in your cross country I came like 20th.You must be very fast to come up second who was the person that beat you? But I think you need to put a little bit more information in the middle of your text because it just feels like you just run up hills that's it. But next time you write just remember to put a little more information on but other than that it's fine I love your text!

  11. Hi Molly
How are you celebrating Maori language week? We are going to korero a lot. What did you do over the weekend? I went to the foodcourt with my family and I ate dumplings, fried rice, noodles and fizzy drinks.
